Witches Get Together

I LOVE anything Halloween so I jumped on the opportunity to have some of the cute girls in my family over for a Witches Night. We ate some yummy soup and made darling glitter pumpkins!! (Thanks Ash!!) My sweet 92 year old Grandma won the Best Witch award! I love all of these ladies so much! Oh and I also hit my 5 month mark that day so I thought I would post a belly shot.

Miss Britt......

Turns 23! What a lovely lady this one is. Can't imagine my life without her! She is my bestest friend. I am so lucky to have such an amazing sister in law! We celebrated her birth by going and getting a little manicure followed by lunch at our favorite place the Dodo. Love you Miss Britt! Can't wait for next year!

Nightmare on 13th........

We were lucky enough to celebrate our friend Jon's birthday with a little trip to Noodles, Maggie Moo's, and Nightmare on 13th. It was a very fun night out with our friends! The haunted house was $20 a person, really short, and not too scary! But then again I am not a good judge cause my head was in Jeff's back the whole time. I didn't really want baby Sawyer to have bad dreams......Happy Birthday dear Jon!

Lion King

In September Jeff and I were lucky enough to go and see Lion King. What a fabulous date night if I say so myself! We both loved the Broadway! Which actually really surprised me. I knew I would love it, but Jeff......that was a shocker! It was a great way to start our 2010 fall.

Baby Letter

To our sweet baby BOY ………
What an experience pregnancy has been so far! I spent all but four weeks of the first trimester with my head in a toilet. Good thing your puppy brother Leonidas is such a good sport! He would always accompany me to the bathroom to make sure I was ok. When your Dad was able to finally stomach the constant vomiting he joined us too, your Mom needed lots of support apparently. I dry heaved all the time and every time I made that awful noise Leo would immediately dash for the bathroom as if to say “come on Mom you know what happens next!” It made eating, cooking, cleaning, and working quite difficult I must say, but I would gladly relive that experience all over again! Now, the second trimester has been a completely different story! I don’t fall asleep at 7:00 p.m. anymore. Daddy doesn’t have to carry me to bed, cook dinner, clean, or do laundry by himself. I am your Daddy’s wife again!

From the beginning I knew you were a little boy! I just had a special feeling about you. Your Dad on the other hand thought otherwise. But I will tell you a little secret Mr. Sawyer….. I have never seen a bigger smile and more attentive eyes from your Dad then I did last Friday August 20, 2010. When the ultrasound tech told us you were a baby boy I looked over at your Dad, the look on his face was indescribable a memory that I will cherish always. We saw your cute button nose and little lips, your long legs and tiny toes, you were stretching and moving all around. We can’t believe you are OURS, our little boy! Sometimes I still feel like I am dreaming.

Daddy and Mommy love you so much! We are so grateful to have you in our lives. We look forward to all the fun memories that lie ahead.
Love you baby Sawyer!!
XOXO Daddy and Mommy

These Pictures..............

SAY A THOUSAND WORDS!!!! We are having a baby!!!

I was seven days late which I thought was odd but I kind of disregarded it. I peed on like 5 sticks and they were all negative! I called my cute nurse and told her the situation. She said "why don't you just come in and take a quick blood test, and we will get it back today to see what's going on." I went in took the test and began my waiting process. Those two hours passed so slowly! I hadn't heard from her so I called her back at 5:00 only to find out that her office had closed for the evening. I was dying!!! I didn't tell Jeff I went in for the blood test, which was so hard to keep secret from him! Anyways, the next morning I called at 9:00 am only to find out my nurse was off that day. I said is there anyone in the office who can give me my blood test results. She took my info and said she would have someone call me as soon as possible. Another hour went by and my mind was racing! I was sitting at my office computer writing an email when my phone rang, it was the doctors office....I quickly stood up and started pacing back and forth debating whether or not to answer. I was just so nervous! I answered and heard my nurses sweet voice on the other end. Before she could even really talk I said "I was debating about whether or not to answer this call, I have been so nervous and I feel like you are going to determine the rest of my life." She laughed and said "Lindsay you are PREGNANT!! Your test was completely positive! My eyes welled up with tears. I asked her if she could repeat herself because I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly. She did and I just started bawling, such a surreal feeling! I sat back in my office chair with a thousand thoughts running through my head. I couldn't wait to tell Jeff! After work I headed to Target to pick up a few things to help me tell him. I got everything ready only to have Jeff come home from the gym to tell me, "oh my sister wants us to come over." There was no time to tell him. I waited another 3 1/2 hours!! Literally I think this was the HARDEST thing in the world! We finally got home that night and I asked Jeff if he saw the shirt I brought back from Vegas for him. He said no so I said go grab the bag and he did. He opened it up and pulled out the onesie and bib, he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "you are kidding me!!" We freaked out for a moment together and then were calm again! We laid awake all night talking about "our baby." It was like Christmas Eve as a little kid, you know too excited to sleep!! We are so thrilled for this baby to come! The date on the bib is quite wrong. My nurse had given me the wrong date due to a calculation error. Our baby will be here on February 10, 2011.

Here's to you

Travis,

I cried myself to sleep last night just thinking about you. You have been on my mind a lot lately and I feel so blessed to have known you for the last 20 years of your life. What an amazing human being you were. The most loyal and honest friend around. I liked coming to you for advice because you were always so brutally honest and would put me in my place when I needed it. I thank you for that!! I will miss our “life chats” because we always ended up laughing at my dumb mistakes. I think the thing that is killing me most right now is that the “Beast” will never walk through the door again. I am having a really hard time swallowing that. Of course I know you are in a better place but that doesn’t change the fact that I want you here! I am so grateful that our siblings fell in love and brought our families together! You have an amazing family who loves you more then you will ever know! The day I received that scary telephone call I ran to the hospital. I stood by your side and held your hand for quite some time. I am so grateful for those last moments I was able to spend with you. I whispered something in your ear and I know you heard me cause my eyes welled up with tears and an overwhelming feeling of calmness filled my heart. I know you got my back on this one!! I feel very comforted in knowing that I will see you again. You be good up there! I love you and will see you later my sweet friend!
