The Search Has Come to an End

We began our house hunting journey back in December. We found a darling home that we immediately fell in love with! It was a short sale and we were in second position. A couple months went by and we learned we were the only offer. Lucky us……and then it foreclosed 2 weeks later! I had been watching the home and saw it hit the market again so I immediately sent our offer to the new agent. Of course I didn’t tell Jeff I resubmitted our offer because I didn’t want his heart to get broken twice. It was so incredibly hard to keep this secret from him! A few days later I found out that the bank had accepted our offer…..YAY!! I called Jeff to tell him to meet me at my office after work because I had a surprise for him. He had no idea what was going on because I drug him out earlier that week to look at some homes so he thought that’s what we would be doing. I didn’t have a blind fold so I made him lay the car seat back and close his eyes! It was the longest 10 minute drive of my life! We got to the home, I unlocked the door then went and grabbed Jeff. Eyes still closed I walked him into the living room. I told him to open his eye. He did and gave me the funniest look! He said “what are we doing here” I said well “we got the home!!” That was followed by several screams a huge hug and a big kiss!! We closed on April Fools Day and have been loving it ever since! I was lucky enough to stop this darling photo of him when I told him the good news!

I Couldn't Let Today Slip By....

Four years ago today I knew I was going to marry you! I am not sure why we didn’t ever go on a date once in those 9 years and I am still so confused as to how it all unfolded but none the less I am very grateful it is you standing next me! That was the best “first date – hang out as just friends” I have ever been on. I loved that I devoured my food as you picked at your nasty nachos, I loved that you put your arms around mine to help me with that perfect golf swing, I love that you were so scared to sneak in to the hot tubs and I grabbed your hand and made you do it, I loved driving down the canyon with your alarm system going off – I think you were a little embarrassed but all I could do was laugh, I love that we watched Just Friends, and I love how I can say I only have ever kissed one person on a first date and that was you!! I went home that night giddy as can be! I ran down the stairs jumped on Whit’s bed and told her I was going to marry you! She just sat up and laughed at me but then shared in my excitement! Thank you for being you and thank you for making my life so special! I don’t think I will ever forget one detail about that night seeing how I replay it in my head quite often. I love you so very much!! I hope you are thinking of me on this day too!

Love Lindsay Bear

A TRIP AWAY FROM LIFE

Yes we are here and still very much alive! We had a wonderful holiday season filled with good food and lots of friends and family functions. We enjoyed ourselves immensely! But I do believe we were looking most towards our cruise vacation. I work for the BEST real estate office and my team reached our goals for 2009 so we were awarded a seven day Mexican Riviera cruise. It was awesome to get away from my computer, cell phone, and January weather in Utah! Highlights of the trip are as follows;

• Riding horses through the jungle in the pouring rain
• Twist ice cream cones twice a day every day
• Winning the pool games and watching Jen carry the watermelon in her swimsuit
• Dancing the night away at Skywalker with the old ladies
•Well seeing how the average age of the person on the cruise ship was 65 we enjoyed counting all the rascals and walkers parked outside the dining areas each night.
• Watching Jeff karaoke to Boys II Men I’ll Make Love to You. Wish I had it on tape cause it was the funniest thing I have ever seen! He was famous for the rest of the trip, literally everyone knew his name and commented on his show!!
• Seeing Whales, Dolphins, and Sea Lions
• All the yummy food (and watching Jason attempt to eat frog legs) so gross!
• The beautiful beaches
• Hanging out by the pool
• Being surrounded by family and fun friends
• Spending every day with Jeff (that was really fun!)
• Drinking Shirley Temples throughout the day
• Jason winning the Black Jack tournament

How a Simple Email Changed my Entire Day

A Co-Worker forwarded this e-mail to me and I haven't stopped thinking about it all day! I keep wondering why I think life will be better or easier when I have this or do that etc etc. Every moment of my life is spent in a hurry and I never stop and actually let myself "LIVE in the MOMENT." My goal for now on is to be more conscious and aware. It's going to be really hard for me to not give attention to all the insignificant things in my life but it is absolutely worth a try! I don't want to look back on my life and feel like I never actually lived it. I used to be that crazy girl that lived in the moment. The girl that thought that everyone was good and kind, and the girl that couldn't get enough of life. Unfortunately growing up has taken that away from me. Now I am not saying I have a bad life by any means, I am just simply saying I need to LIVE!! I hope you enjoy the email below.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctors worry about them. That is why you pay 'them'

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. 'An idle mind is the devil's workshop.' And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person, who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love , whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county; to a foreign country but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

First, I was dying to finish my high school and start college
And then I was dying to finish college and start working
Then I was dying to marry and have children
And then I was dying for my children to grow old enough so I could go back to work
But then I was dying to retire
And now I am dying.....
And suddenly I realized I forgot to live

Remember: Appreciate your current situation and enjoy each day!

BLACKOUT

Proud of you Matt Snow!Fun fun game!

On Monday Mr. Hubby celebrated his 25th birthday! It weirds me out that we have know each other since we were 12 we were kids and now we are just old.....bring on the wrinkles!! Secretly I have been wishing that we had our own reality t.v. show just because this last week I probably peed my pants every day! I have the funniest Husband. The things he does and the things that come out of his mouth just kill me! I really can't even do him justice, I just wish I had it all on tape cause I don't ever want to forget it. Life really is so much better when you have someone so funny to share it with! Happy Birthday Jeffrey!

25th Birthday Breakdown

So I may or may not have cried on my 25th Birthday.......Who am I kidding I totally broke down like numerous times! So silly I know but for some reason I just feel so OLD. Saying you are 25 is so close to 30 that it gave me a minor panic attack. Yes completely true and I am completely lame!! Please tell me someone out there had a hard time turning 25 and I am not the only one!! PLEASE TELL ME!! Anyways I had a great Birthday despite the tears. I have an amazing Husband, Family, and Friends who made me feel so special! I am a very lucky girl to be surrounded by so many wonderful people! Friday we met up with my sisters and the Panniers for some Dodo and THRILLER (one of my favorite people was in it). Saturday Jeff and I went with Matt and Britt to the U game. Thank heavens we won! After the game we headed to Park City to spend the night. We ate dinner at Baja Cantina then found ourselves buying Walmart special swimsuits to go hot tubing in. Very very funny!! Overall it was a very fun birthday. Hopefully my next birthday won't bring tears!
