SAWYER ROGERS SNOW

On February 3, 2011 our sweet baby Sawyer was born. After a fever and pushing for 2 1/2 hours, and four epidurals later Sawyer came by C-section at 8:31 p.m. He was 8 pounds 5 ounces and 22 inches long....he is adorably chunky! Aside from our wedding day it was the most amazing day of our lives! Jeff Leonidas and I have really enjoyed every minute with our little Sawyer!

The time has come.........

We are so ready to meet our little Sawyer! At this time in our lives we are feeling very overwhelmed, but it's a good overwhelmed feeling! We are extremely blessed to have so many amazing people surrounding us! We can't wait for Sawyer to meet these people and to learn how they have influenced his Daddy and Mommy's lives. Pregnancy has been quite the journey for both Jeff and I. It's brought many firsts, lots of laughs, tons of meltdowns, and weird disagreements. Let's just say our marriage has grown so much in the last 9 months, and it truly has been a special experience for our little family! This post is to all of you who make our lives so wonderful, we love you!!

Baby Letter

Baby Sawyer,

We did it little man, we are Officially 6 months. Only three more months till Mommy and Daddy get to meet you! I can’t believe how fast the time has gone. You have become very active in Mommy's belly, I call it Baby Olympics. It usually begins each morning around 4:30 a.m. and lasts until about 7:30 a.m. and it is constant moving!! I don't want Daddy to miss a thing, so you better believe I grab his hand each morning while he is fast asleep just to feel you! He laughs every time. We still can't get over how crazy it is to feel you move and it's even crazier when we see my belly move! I have a CD in my car that you thoroughly enjoy! I don’t even know who the singer is, but the style of the song is reggae and it’s called “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.” You start moving every time I play it. I can’t wait to see your reaction the first time I play it for you in person. Maybe we will listen to it on our way home from the hospital with you. Each week I get emails with pictures of what you look like, how you are growing and developing, and what symptoms your Mommy is probably experiencing. I always forward the emails to your Dad so he can read about your progression too! You are amazing baby Sawyer and we love learning about you! About a month ago your Dad and I were sitting in sacrament and he looked over at me and said “diapers” I said “what” then he repeated “diapers” I said “yes, what about diapers” he then proceeded by saying “we are going to need lots of diapers!!” I just about rolled off my chair I was laughing so hard! He is totally worried about diapers and I am totally worried about getting your nursery put together. Hopefully we will have a nursery stocked with thousands of diapers by the time you arrive. We registered your puppy brother Leonidas in puppy school for the next six weeks. We are hoping this will help discipline him so that he will be on his best behavior when you come home. Every day your presence becomes more known. I am so grateful that I get to literally be with you all day everyday. I am cherishing these moments for they won’t last very much longer. We want you to know how loved you are! All of your family, Mommy and Daddy’s friends, co-workers, and even strangers constantly touch my belly and share their love with you! We are all so excited for your arrival. Please keep being active and growing strong for Mommy and Daddy!

Love

Daddy, Mommy, and Leonidas

It's His Birthday

And I couldn't wait! I love all holidays and birthdays. Jeff seems to think I could make up my own holidays and celebrate which I probably could and I would thoroughly enjoy them. I was so excited for my man to turn 26. I set my alarm for 12:15 a.m. because I wanted to be the first to wish him a Happy Birthday!! My alarm went off and Jeff was a little upset. I acted like I had to get a drink from the kitchen but ran out to the garage where all of his birthday presents were and lots of balloons. I ran in to our bedroom, flipped on the lamp light cause I figured the over head light would startle him too bad and screamed Happy Birthday!!!! He was very surprised....got to love that! We went to dinner at his most favorite place that evening. Very low key but I am so glad I got to spend some time with him. I love you Husband! Hope 26 treats you just right!!!

Megan & Annie's Annual Halloween Party

Jeff had the fabulous idea of going as the Situation and Snookie for Halloween! It was the day before our friends annual Halloween party and we had no costume so I totally gave in to Jeff's idea, seeing how he bashed all mine. Thank you GenX for providing us with such great outfits! I will definitely wear mine again and thank you for providing Jeff with a pair of skinny jeans......I must say he looks pretty good in them! We had a fun night with everyone at the party! It's so fun seeing old faces and catching up! Thanks Meg and Annie!

St. George with the Simkins

Over my birthday Jeff and Blake played in a softball tournament in St. George. What a fun time we had!! We stayed at the very lovely Motel 8, watched softball, ate lots of naughty food, and learned how to play some good games!! Thanks guys for such a great time, can't wait till our next little getaway!!

Witches Get Together

I LOVE anything Halloween so I jumped on the opportunity to have some of the cute girls in my family over for a Witches Night. We ate some yummy soup and made darling glitter pumpkins!! (Thanks Ash!!) My sweet 92 year old Grandma won the Best Witch award! I love all of these ladies so much! Oh and I also hit my 5 month mark that day so I thought I would post a belly shot.

Miss Britt......

Turns 23! What a lovely lady this one is. Can't imagine my life without her! She is my bestest friend. I am so lucky to have such an amazing sister in law! We celebrated her birth by going and getting a little manicure followed by lunch at our favorite place the Dodo. Love you Miss Britt! Can't wait for next year!

Nightmare on 13th........

We were lucky enough to celebrate our friend Jon's birthday with a little trip to Noodles, Maggie Moo's, and Nightmare on 13th. It was a very fun night out with our friends! The haunted house was $20 a person, really short, and not too scary! But then again I am not a good judge cause my head was in Jeff's back the whole time. I didn't really want baby Sawyer to have bad dreams......Happy Birthday dear Jon!

Lion King

In September Jeff and I were lucky enough to go and see Lion King. What a fabulous date night if I say so myself! We both loved the Broadway! Which actually really surprised me. I knew I would love it, but Jeff......that was a shocker! It was a great way to start our 2010 fall.

Baby Letter

To our sweet baby BOY ………
What an experience pregnancy has been so far! I spent all but four weeks of the first trimester with my head in a toilet. Good thing your puppy brother Leonidas is such a good sport! He would always accompany me to the bathroom to make sure I was ok. When your Dad was able to finally stomach the constant vomiting he joined us too, your Mom needed lots of support apparently. I dry heaved all the time and every time I made that awful noise Leo would immediately dash for the bathroom as if to say “come on Mom you know what happens next!” It made eating, cooking, cleaning, and working quite difficult I must say, but I would gladly relive that experience all over again! Now, the second trimester has been a completely different story! I don’t fall asleep at 7:00 p.m. anymore. Daddy doesn’t have to carry me to bed, cook dinner, clean, or do laundry by himself. I am your Daddy’s wife again!

From the beginning I knew you were a little boy! I just had a special feeling about you. Your Dad on the other hand thought otherwise. But I will tell you a little secret Mr. Sawyer….. I have never seen a bigger smile and more attentive eyes from your Dad then I did last Friday August 20, 2010. When the ultrasound tech told us you were a baby boy I looked over at your Dad, the look on his face was indescribable a memory that I will cherish always. We saw your cute button nose and little lips, your long legs and tiny toes, you were stretching and moving all around. We can’t believe you are OURS, our little boy! Sometimes I still feel like I am dreaming.

Daddy and Mommy love you so much! We are so grateful to have you in our lives. We look forward to all the fun memories that lie ahead.
Love you baby Sawyer!!
XOXO Daddy and Mommy

These Pictures..............

SAY A THOUSAND WORDS!!!! We are having a baby!!!

I was seven days late which I thought was odd but I kind of disregarded it. I peed on like 5 sticks and they were all negative! I called my cute nurse and told her the situation. She said "why don't you just come in and take a quick blood test, and we will get it back today to see what's going on." I went in took the test and began my waiting process. Those two hours passed so slowly! I hadn't heard from her so I called her back at 5:00 only to find out that her office had closed for the evening. I was dying!!! I didn't tell Jeff I went in for the blood test, which was so hard to keep secret from him! Anyways, the next morning I called at 9:00 am only to find out my nurse was off that day. I said is there anyone in the office who can give me my blood test results. She took my info and said she would have someone call me as soon as possible. Another hour went by and my mind was racing! I was sitting at my office computer writing an email when my phone rang, it was the doctors office....I quickly stood up and started pacing back and forth debating whether or not to answer. I was just so nervous! I answered and heard my nurses sweet voice on the other end. Before she could even really talk I said "I was debating about whether or not to answer this call, I have been so nervous and I feel like you are going to determine the rest of my life." She laughed and said "Lindsay you are PREGNANT!! Your test was completely positive! My eyes welled up with tears. I asked her if she could repeat herself because I wasn't sure if I heard her correctly. She did and I just started bawling, such a surreal feeling! I sat back in my office chair with a thousand thoughts running through my head. I couldn't wait to tell Jeff! After work I headed to Target to pick up a few things to help me tell him. I got everything ready only to have Jeff come home from the gym to tell me, "oh my sister wants us to come over." There was no time to tell him. I waited another 3 1/2 hours!! Literally I think this was the HARDEST thing in the world! We finally got home that night and I asked Jeff if he saw the shirt I brought back from Vegas for him. He said no so I said go grab the bag and he did. He opened it up and pulled out the onesie and bib, he looked at me with tears in his eyes and said "you are kidding me!!" We freaked out for a moment together and then were calm again! We laid awake all night talking about "our baby." It was like Christmas Eve as a little kid, you know too excited to sleep!! We are so thrilled for this baby to come! The date on the bib is quite wrong. My nurse had given me the wrong date due to a calculation error. Our baby will be here on February 10, 2011.

Here's to you

Travis,

I cried myself to sleep last night just thinking about you. You have been on my mind a lot lately and I feel so blessed to have known you for the last 20 years of your life. What an amazing human being you were. The most loyal and honest friend around. I liked coming to you for advice because you were always so brutally honest and would put me in my place when I needed it. I thank you for that!! I will miss our “life chats” because we always ended up laughing at my dumb mistakes. I think the thing that is killing me most right now is that the “Beast” will never walk through the door again. I am having a really hard time swallowing that. Of course I know you are in a better place but that doesn’t change the fact that I want you here! I am so grateful that our siblings fell in love and brought our families together! You have an amazing family who loves you more then you will ever know! The day I received that scary telephone call I ran to the hospital. I stood by your side and held your hand for quite some time. I am so grateful for those last moments I was able to spend with you. I whispered something in your ear and I know you heard me cause my eyes welled up with tears and an overwhelming feeling of calmness filled my heart. I know you got my back on this one!! I feel very comforted in knowing that I will see you again. You be good up there! I love you and will see you later my sweet friend!

4th of July

Tradition will never be broken. Of course we spent our 4th of July in Bear Lake with my family! There is no where else on this earth we would rather be! We watched the most amazing firework show right on the beach! Jeff and I love this place and one day will hopefully have a place of our own up there. Matt thank you for giving Jeff your shorts. They fit me and my two nephews just perfect!! Way to be Mr. Lineman, we sure love you!!

And Another One Bites the Dust

In June we were lucky enough to be a part of a beautiful wedding! Blake Simkins and Michelle Sansom finally tied the knot! We LOVE the Simkins and couldn't be happier for them !The wedding was beautiful and I have never seen a more gorgeous bride! Like I said I am slacking on my photo taking so of course I don't have a picture of them on their wedding day! We are so lucky to have such awesome friends! Our group is definitely getting larger. Now there are only four more to go.......... Love you Simkins!

So This is LOVE....................

Yes it's true.......Jeff finally let me get a dog!! After 3 years of begging, my wish was finally granted. Meet Leonidas (leo-night-us)Snow! He is a Shorkie and a pretty cute one I must say so myself. We have been enjoying the many potty accidents, sleepless nights, and constant biting, oh and did I say SLEEPLESS nights????!!!! He adds a lot of fun to our family and I can't imagine our lives without him! Love you Leo!

While the Husbands are away the Wife’s will SHOP!!!!

While Jeff and Matt were in St. George celebrating a bachelor party Miss Britt and I decided to head to Vegas for some shopping. We had a total blast! We shopped, ate till we were sick, went to bed at 8:00, laid out, ate again, shopped lots more, and last but not least watched Britt get hit on!!! It was the perfect girls weekend! Britt I just love you and don’t know what I would do without you! Thanks for such a fun PTA meeting!!!
